KATRINA

AS WE WATCH WITH HORROR AT THE DEVASTATION IN THE SOUTHEAST UNITED STATES, WE SENSE THE LOSS OF, HOMES, CARS, SENTIMENTAL ITEMS HAVING PRICELESS VALUE, CLOTHES, COMPUTERS, TVS,......EVERYTHING, BUT MOST IMPORTANT, THE LOSS OF LIVES AND HOPE. I USE THE WORDING "WE SENSE" BECAUSE, THOSE OF US WHO ARE NOT GOING THROUGH THIS, CAN NOT TRULY UNDERSTAND.   SOME OF US MAY HAVE BEEN THROUGH A DEVASTATING HAPPENING, BUT I CAN NOT TRULY FEEL YOUR HURT, NOR YOU, MINE. 

IN ORDER TO FIND ANSWERS TO OUR PAIN,  AS CHRISTIANS, WE  TURN TO GOD'S WORD. WE ASK WHY HAVE SOME LOST THEIR PARENT, THEIR SPOUSE, A CHILD, THEIR LOVED ONES....; WE CAN NOT UNDERSTAND. 

I WAS LED TO ISAIAH 57, verses ONE AND TWO--" The righteous perishes, and no one lays to heart;  and merciful and devout men are taken away, with no one considering that the uncompromisingly upright and godly person is taken away from the calamity and evil to come.    He ( in death) enters into peace; they rest in their beds, each one who walks straight and in his rightness"  (Amplified BIBLE)

May someone find the above scripture  of comfort during their time of sorrow. Please do not forget, GOD LOVES YOU. He gave up, His Son for you, that you and I  might be united with Him and our loved ones for ever, and ever, and ever.
